Description
The Burundi Turihamwe is a wonderful coffee to drink on a daily basis with its pleasant, unique characteristics. It is very fun to roast; as it responds well to a lot of heat and air flow, making for quick batches at very Low Finish Roast Temperatures. The flavors begin upfront with raspberry, closely followed by kola and honey. The cup fills out, presenting a cozy, warming, balanced experience.
Turihamwe means “together” in Kirundi, and encapsulates the spirit behind this collective community. The women growing this coffee worked, studied, and saved their premiums together for several years to be able to build their own wet mill, which they did themselves.
Tasting Notes: Raspberry, Kola, Honey

Wonderful pour over. Sweet, fruity, and that low temp roast keeps it delicate. Lovely.

Bright and lively. A little pricier feeling but the quality is clearly there.

Burundi Turihamwe is juicy and complex. Red fruit and a clean finish. Really special coffee.
